Abstract

Hipertensi merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan global dan penyebab utama morbiditas dan mortalitas di seluruh dunia. Di Indonesia, prevalensi hipertensi pada tahun 2018 adalah 34.1% pada populasi dewasa. Faktor gaya hidup, seperti kurangnya aktivitas fisik, merokok, dan obesitas merupakan kontributor utama terhadap tingginya kejadian hipertensi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor resiko kejadian hipertensi pada usia dewasa di Kabupaten Nias. Design penelitian adalah cross sectional. Teknik sampling menggunakan purposive sampling, dengan jumlah sampel 80 responden. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu chi-square. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara genetik dengan hipertensi (p=0,006), obesitas dengan hipertensi (p=0,021) dan kebiasaan merokok dengan hipertensi (p=0,002). Dan tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara jenis kelamin (p=0,084) dan aktivitas fisik (p=0,603) dengan tekanan darah. Namun, laki-laki 2,2 kali beresiko mengalami hipertensi dibandingkan perempuan dan 4,2 kali beresiko lebih tinggi pada responden yang tidak melakukan aktivitas fisik secara rutin. Mendorong perubahan gaya hidup sehat, seperti meningkatkan aktivitas fisik secara teratur minimal 30 menit per hari, menerapkan pola makan sehat, mempertahankan berat badan ideal, dan tidak merokok, dapat mengurangi risiko hipertensi secara signifikan.
